You can put this solution on YOUR website!

x = number of minutes roaming
y = total cost in dollars

Company A: y = 0.25x + 35
Company B: y = 0.05x + 45

Set the two right sides equal to each other. Then solve for x.

0.25x + 35 = 0.05x + 45
0.25x + 35 - 35 = 0.05x + 45 - 35
0.25x = 0.05x + 10
0.25x - 0.05x = 0.05x + 10 - 0.05x
0.20x = 10
0.20x/0.20 = 10/0.20
x = 50

Therefore, the two plans will cost the same when you roam for 50 minutes

Side Note: Plan A will cost more if you roam for more than 50 minutes. Plan B will cost more if you roam less than 50 minutes.
