You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A farmer can plow 38 ares in a day.
His field measures 3.01 hectares, but he wants to leave aside a 50m*40m plot
to build a warehouse.
How many days will he take to plow the field?
:
there are 100 sq meters in 1 ares
there are 100 ares in 1 hector
there are 10000 sq meters in 1 hector
:
He has to plow:
3.01 * 10000 - (50*40)
30100 - 2000 = 28,100 sq meters
:
He can plow 38 ares which is 3800 sq meters
therefore
d = 28100%2F3800
d = 7.4 days
