You can put this solution on YOUR website! Recovering from her trauma of getting an A- in class and ruining her 4.0 average. The A- (3.5) grade in a 5 credit class dropped her gpa to a 3.9. How many credits did she have with a 4.0 grade?
------
Original grade count:: 4x where x is the number of original credits
Final grade count:: 4x+3.5*5 = 4x+17.5
Final GPA:: (4x+17.5)/(x+5) = 3.9
4x + 17.5 = 3.9x + 19.5
0.1x = 2
x = 20 (original # of credits)
