SOLUTION: Please Help me solve this problem
f(x)=5x^2-8x
g(x)=x^2-3x-40
Find f/g(x)
I know that you set the problem up like this
(f/g)(x)=5x^2-8x/x^2-3x-40
I am not sure

Question 104146: Please Help me solve this problem
f(x)=5x^2-8x
g(x)=x^2-3x-40
Find f/g(x)
I know that you set the problem up like this
(f/g)(x)=5x^2-8x/x^2-3x-40
I am not sure if it can be factor or not??
If it can please show me the steps on how it is done and what the answer
should be?
Thank you so much Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
= [x(5x-8)]/[(x-8)(x+5)]
-----------------
That is the factored form of the answer but it
doesn't do any good because there is no factor
shared by the numerator and denominator that
can be canceled.
