Triangle abc whose sides are ab and bc are 5m and 4m respectively and on angle b 130 degree make an angle outside the triangle. Find length of ac.
----------------------
Sounds like the interior angle at "b" is 50 degrees
Also, side ac is opposite that 50 degree angle.
Using Law of Cosines::
ac = 4^2 + 5^2 - 2*4*5*cos(50 deg)
------
ac = 28.14m
-------------

.
In the previous tutor solution

|AC|^2 = 4^2 + 5^2 - 2*4*5*cos(50 deg),

|AC| = sqrt%2828.14%29 m =~ 5.30 m.
