if lines L and M are parallel what is the measure of angle 1 ?
I will try to diagram it as best as possible with the transverse that goes threw the 2 lines
the slash marks will will mark the transverse
_________3/4________
2/5
_________1/6________
38 deg/7

=========================
angle 6 = 38 deg because they are vertical angles
---
angle 1 = (180-38) deg = 142 degrees because angle 1 and angle 6
are supplemental.
