You can put this solution on YOUR website! My average electricity bill for the months of November, December, January, and February was $200. The highest month was January which was twice February. December was $10 less than January and November was $24 less than February. How much was my bill in each of the months November, December, January, and February? February = x
 January = 2x
 November= x-24
 December=2x-10
 Now add these all together and divide by 4 since there are 4 months;

  lets get rid of the fraction and multiply each side by 4, and collect like terms;
 6x-34=800
 6x=834
 x=139
 So the bill February was $139
 January = 2(139)=$278
 November = 139-24=$115
 December = 2(139)-10= $268
