You can put this solution on YOUR website! .Find the slope of the tangent line to the graph of f(x) = x^4 –3x at the point where the abscissa is -1. f'(x) = 4x^3-3
 f'(-1) = 4(-1)^3-3 = -7
 ------------------------------------
 2. Find the slope of the line passing through the following pairs of points
 a)	(-5, 7) and (1, -5):: m = (-5-7)/(1--5) = -12/6 = -2
 -----------------------------------------
 b)	(4, 3) and (-8, -3):: m = (-3-3)/(-8-4) = -6/-12 = 1/2
 --------------------------------
 c)	(-1, -2) and (6, -2):: m = (-2--2)/(6--1) = 0/7 = 0
 --------------------------------
