You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First term of the factor : x%5E2
So then, x%5E2%28x-1%29=x%5E3-x%5E2
Subtract that from the original polynomial,
x%5E3-5x%5E2%2B7x-3-%28x%5E3-x%5E2%29=-4x%5E2%2B7x-3
So, the second term of the factor: -4x
So then, -4x%28x-1%29=-4x%5E2%2B4x
Subtracting from the previous polynomial,
-4x%5E2%2B7x-3-%28-4x%5E2%2B4x%29=3x-3
So, the final term of the factor: 3,
Then, 3%28x-1%29=3x-3,
3x-3-%283x-3%29=0
So,
%28x%5E3-5x%5E2%2B7x-3%29%2F%28x-1%29=x%5E2-4x%2B3
