Question 1038442: My problem is:
Ed, the pay phone repairman, has $12.75 in dimes and quarters. If Ed has 30 more quarters than dimes, how many dimes does he have?
I know that 30%2F0.25=120, so that takes care of the $12. I can't figure out the 0.75, though.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let d=dimes. Then:
10d+25(d+30)=1275
35d+750=1275
35d=525
d=15
Ed has 15 dimes, and 45 quarters!!!!!!!!!!!!
