We are trying to determine the time of travel, and we know the rate of travel for each car, we also know the distance.
So just a little basic algebra...

Since the cars are traveling in opposite directions, we must add the speeds of both cars together to determine the rate at which they are gaining distance from one another. So...
80%2B96=176
This is the rate in our equation.
The distance is 528km
When we plug these numbers into our equation, we get...
528%2F176=t
so...
