the inverse of g(x) 3x-2
y = 3x - 2
Make the y = x and the x = y
x = 3y - 2
Add +2 to both sides
x + 2 = 3y (- 2 + 2)
x + 2 = 3y
Divide both sides by 3
(x + 2)/3 = 3y/3
(x + 2)/3 = y
Reverse equation
y = (x + 2)/3
This is the inverse of g(x)
g^-'(x)
