Question 103582: What property is m[t+(-t)]= mt+m(-t) , m[t+(-t)]=m(-t+t), and m[t+(-t)] = [t+(-t)]m
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! What property is m[t+(-t)]= mt+m(-t)
The distributive property
--------------------------------
m[t+(-t)]=m(-t+t)
The commutative property allows you to change t+(-t) to (-t+t)
------------------------
and m[t+(-t)] = [t+(-t)]m
The commutative property allows you to swithc the order of the factors.
