Question 1035626: A brick is in the shape of a rectangular prism with a length of 8 inches, a width of 3.5 inches, and a height of 2 inches. The brick has a density of 2.7 grams per cubic centimeter. Find the mass of the brick to the nearest gram.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since D = m/V, mass = VD...
Before we calculate, we'd have to convert inches into cm...so that the volume is
V = (8*2.54)*(3.5*2.54)*(2*2.54) = 917.68 cm^3
and then
m = VD = 917.68 * 2.7 = 2477.7 grams = 2478 g to the nearest gram
