You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You place the decimal after the first non-zero digit...here that would be the 2...then count how many places you moved the decimal...that becomes the exponent...so that
293,700,000 = 2.937 x 10^8
You would read it as
Two hundred ninety-three million, seven hundred thousand.
