Range is the possible values for y in a function, so it is not a function by itself, if that is what you are asking. For every value of x (the domain) you put in an equation, the answer for y is the range.
For these sets of numbers;
(-1,3)
domain= -1
range = 3
(2,-1)
domain = 2
range = -1
(3,3)
domain = 3
range = 3
