Question 1033325: A) a pool is a rectangular shaoe, with a width of 15 yards and a length of 25 yards. If the average depth is 6 ft, determine the volume of the pool in cubic feet.
B) if the density of water is 62 lbs/ft^3, determine the weight of water that it takes to fill up this pool. Express in tons

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume is found by
V+=+LWH
Here (remembering 3 feet to a yard and 2000 pounds to a ton)
V = 75*45*6 = 20250 cubic feet
To find the weight of the water, multiply the volume by the density...we get
20250(62) = 1255500 pounds = 627.75 tons
