To finish the season with as many wins as losses, your winning percentage will equal exactly 50%. So far, you have won 40% of 80% of your games. In order to finish even for the season, with 20% of our games left to play, we have to win:
.4(.8)+x(.2)=.5(100%)
.32+.2x=.5
.2x=.18
x=.18/.2=90% of our games left we need to win in order to average 50% for the season......
