Area of BPQ =8
BQ = 4
there fore PM altitude =
8= 1/2 *4* PM
PM = 4
The altitude of BPC = PM = 4
Area of triangle BPC = 1/2 * 4* 10
= 20 sq units
Area OF PQC = Area BPC - BPQ = 12 sq units

Now PQ || AC and AC is common side
triangles AQC & PQC are congruent

Areas are equal 12 sq units
