You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This is basic algebra. We want to get rid of all multiplication/division to the term (b1+b2)
You start with +a=h%2F2%2A%28b1%2Bb2%29+
Multiply both sides by 2 and divide both sides by h and get:
+2a%2Fh=b1%2Bb2+
Subtract over b2 and your answer is:
+b1=2a%2Fh-b2+
(Note: if you want both sides under the same denominator and make it seem neater, you can also multiply -b2 by +h%2Fh+ which equals 1. This gives you +b1=%282a-b2h%29%2Fh+. However, they are equivalent and it doesn't matter which answer you use.)
