You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=x is a straight line with a slope of 1.
y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk is a parabola with a vertex located at (h,k). If a%3E0, it opens upwards, if a%3C0 it opens downwards.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The first is a straight line and the second a parabola.
Let a=1, h=2 and k=2, and the vertex is (2,2), with the parabolic equation being (x-2)^2+2, or x^2-4x+6
