Always setup your problems as ratios units cancel out and you have the right unit ratio at the end. If you do that, word problems become much easier.
$/hour x hours/day = $/day because hours cancel out
$/day x days/week = $/week because days cancel out
This works for many other problems such as
miles/day x days/week x weeks/month x km/mile = km/month
Just cross out the ones that cancel out and if what is left is the desired ratio, problem solved! It is easy once you practice a few.
