You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assume this is the problem
7%5E%28%28x-8%29%29+%2B+20+=+295
subtract 20 from both sides
7%5E%28%28x-8%29%29+=+275
using natural logs
ln%287%5E%28%28x-8%29%29%29+=+ln%28275%29
the log equiv of exponents
(x-8)*ln(7) = ln(275)
divide both sides by ln(7)
x - 8 = ln%28275%29%2Fln%287%29
use the calc
x - 8 = 2.88645
x = 2.88645 + 8
x = 10.88645

You can confirm this, replace x with 10.88645 in the original equation, use your calc
