All sides of a square are equal so MA = AT
                               2x - 5 = x + 10
                                    x = 15

So MA = 2(15) - 5 = 30 - 5 = 25.  As a check AT = (15) + 10 = 25

So the four sides of the square MATH are 15 each. MA = AT = TH = HM = 15

So the perimeter is MA + AT + TH + HM = 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 60

And the area is 15x15 = 225.
