f(x) = 16 - x2; g(x) = 4 - x
Find f + g.
f+g = 16-x^2+4-x
= -x^2-x+20
----------------------
The graph would be a parabola opening downward with
vertex at x = -b/2a = -(-1/-2)= -1/2
Then f(-1/2) = -(-1/2)^2-(-1/2)+ 20 = -1/4+1/2+20 = 20 1/4

Range is All Real Numbers <= 20 1/4
