Question 1030763: Jim was hiking on a trail and, after walking three fourths of a mile, he found that he was only five eighths of the way to end the trail. How long is the trail? Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi there,
If 5/8s = 3/4 mile
Then the whole trail =
3/4 x 8/5
= 24/20
= 6/5 = 1 1/5 miles
Hope this helps :-)
