Question 1030632: If the ratio of good guys to bad guys is 2 to 5. If there were 35 guys in the movie, how many were good? This is an adult, sadly, trying to figure this out. I have no work to show you because I am clueless, sorry. Thank you in advance.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
No worries...
If the ratio is 2 to 5, then we can also write this as 2x to 5x.
Now if there are 35 guys total, then we know the sum of 2x and 5x must be that same 35...so we write
2x + 5x = 35
7x = 35
and
x = 5
Now when plug that is to 2x and 5x, we get
2x = 10 good guys and
5x = 25 bad guys
That wasn't so bad now, was it?
