x + 2 is the larger
5(x + 2) - 3(x) = 120
5x + 10 - 3x = 120
2x + 10 = 120
add -10 to each side
2x = 120 -10
2x = 110
divide each side by 2
x = 55
x + 2 = 57
The two numbers are 55 and 57
