Question 1028278: Graph the following polynomial, showing the end behaviors, x-intercepts, behavior at x-intercepts, and y-intercept. NEED HELP PLEASE... I have to show the steps.
f(x) = x^3 + 4x^2 – 3x – 18

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Here is the graph of the equation

:
f'(x) = 3x^2 +8x -3
:
note if f'(x)>0, then f(x) is increasing and if f'(x)<0, then f(x) is decreasing
:
1) left end of f(x) is increasing and right end of f(x) is increasing
:
2) x-intercepts are -3 and 2
:
3) at x = -3, f(x) is changes from increasing to decreasing, x = -3 is a local maximum.
at x = 2, f(x) is increasing
:
4) y intercept is -18, f(x) is decreasing at y-intercept
note set x = 0 and you get the y intercept
