You can put this solution on YOUR website! Call the costs of roses and shrubs, r and s. Then we write
11r + 8s = 90 and
4r + 7s = 45
Solve this system by multiplying the top by 4 and the bottom by 11 and subtracting them...we get
44r + 32s = 360
-(44r + 77s = 495)

-45s = -135
s = $3 for shrubs
Now substitute back in and get
11r + 8(3) = 90
11r + 24 = 90
11r = 66
r = $6 for roses
so that one of each costs a total of
