Multiply (1) by 7 (both sides) and (2) by 5. You will get

Now distract (2') from (1') (both sides). You will get

11t = 1484 - 1330,

11t = 154,


t = 154%2F11 = 14.  Thus the price of one tulip bulb is $14 .
