You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first solve this:
x+%2B+3y+%3E=+-2
3y+%3E=+-x+-2
y+%3E=+-x%2F3+-+2%2F3
to graf it, you will need two points:
if x+=+0+ => +y+=+-2%2F3
x+=+-2+ y+=+0
find these two points on the graph, and draw the line
everything for x+%3E=+-2 shade; start from the point (x = -2), go to the right, and color dark (or shade it).
I think the following sample will help: from x=-2 to the right shade the area between the x -axis and the graph from
Solved by pluggable solver: DESCRIBE a linear EQUATION: slope, intercepts, etc
Equation 1+x+%2B+3+y+=+-2 describes a sloping line. For any
equation ax+by+c = 0, slope is -a%2Fb+=+-1%2F3.
  • X intercept is found by setting y to 0: ax+by=c becomes ax=c. that means that x = c/a. -2/1 = -2.
  • Y intercept is found by setting x to 0: the equation becomes by=c, and therefore y = c/b. Y intercept is -2/3 = -0.666666666666667.
  • Slope is -1/3 = -0.333333333333333.
  • Equation in slope-intercept form: y=-0.333333333333333*x+-0.666666666666667.
