Kinetic energy is given in units of energy typically watts in English units or Joules in SI units.
Ft-lbs are definitely not the correct unit.
I like SI because it's more logical so converting,
m=395000%2F2.2=179545kg
v=500%2A%281.6%2F1%29%2A%281000%2F1%29%2A%281%2F3600%29cross%28mi%29%2Fcross%28hr%29cross%28km%29%2Fcross%28mi%29m%2Fcross%28km%29cross%28hr%29%2Fs
v=222m%2Fs
So then,
KE=%281%2F2%29mv%5E2=%281%2F2%29%28179545%29%28222%29%5E2=4.43x10%5E9J
