Question 1024320: Is y directly proportionate to x and solve?
2y - 5 = x
No because y = x+5/2
I do not know if that makes sense?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Yes, that's absolutely correct.
If it was directly proportional, it would have the form,
y=kx where k is a non-zero constant.

No because y = x+5/2

---------------
It makes sense, and it's true - not directly proportional.
y = (x+5)/2
--
eg, doubling x does not cause y to double.
-----
y = x/2 is directly proportional, btw.
