You can put this solution on YOUR website!
S = Samantha's age
H = Helen's age

S = 2H
(S-3)+(H-3) = 45

Plug in the first equation into the second.

2H - 3 + H - 3 = 45
3H = 51
H = 17

Samantha is 34 and Helen is 17.
