You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for n.
log8^(n-3)+log8^(n-1)= 1/2
------------
log(8^(n-3)) + log(8^(n-1)) = 1/2
log(8^(2n-4)) = 1/2
log(8^(2n-4)) = log(sqrt(10))
8^(2n-4) = sqrt(10)
(2n-4)*log(8) = 1/2
2n-4 = 1/log(64)
2n = 4 + 1/log(64)
n = 2 + 1/log(4096)
n =~ 2.27683

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let s and z be snack bars and magazines. Then:
16s+4z=132
20s+6z=190
So:
48s+12z=396
40s+12z=380
8s=16
s=$2 per bar
z=$25 per subscription!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this reasonable?? I think so!!!!!!!
