A simple way, not the only way, is y=3-2x, and then,
4x-3%283-2x%29=5
4x-9%2B6x=5
10x-9=5
10x=5%2B9
10x=14
x=14%2F10
x=7%2F5-------one variable done.

y=3-2x
y=3-2%287%2F5%29
y=15%2F5-14%2F5
y=1%2F5---------the other variable, done.
