Hi there,
2log25 X - log25 (25-4X) = 1/2
log25x^2 - log25 (25 - 4x) = 1/2
This can be converted to:-
x^2/(25 - 4x) = 25^1/2
x^2/(25 - 4x) = 5
Cross multiply:
x^2 = 5(25 - 4x)
x^2 = 125 - 20x
x^2 + 20x - 125 = 0
(x + 25)(x - 5) = 0
x = -25
or x = 5
