But when it's setup as 47/x=82/73.8 it gives you the right answer. So, I tried to setup as 47/x=92/73.8 it gives the wrong answer. = is WRONG proportion.
= is CORRECT proportion.
When you use wrong proportion, you get wrong answer.
When you use the correct proportion, you get the correct answer.
That is all.
As I see from your post, your knowledge on similar triangles are at the ZERO level.
You need learn on similar triangles.
