You can put this solution on YOUR website!
d = number of dimes
q = number of quarters

d + q = 19
10d + 25q = 295

Multiply the first equation by 25.

25d + 25q = 475
10d + 25q = 295

Subtract to get 15d = 180, so d = 12.

Mike had 12 dimes and 7 quarters.
