You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi there,
A father is 7 times the age of his son.
F = 7S
In 25 years time ,he will be twice the age of his son
F + 25 = 2(S + 25)
Replace F with 7S from top equation
7S + 25 = 2(S + 25)
7S + 25 = 2S + 50
Collect like terms
7S - 2S = 50 - 25
5S = 25
S = 5
Father = 35 years old
Son = 5 years old
Hope this helps :-)
