SOLUTION: Solve each of the following systems by graphing. 3x - 6y = 9 x - 2y = 3 Again there is a graph with an 'Y' Line in the middle row down and an 'X' in the middle going across.

Question 102212: Solve each of the following systems by graphing.
3x - 6y = 9
x - 2y = 3
Again there is a graph with an 'Y' Line in the middle row down and an 'X' in the middle going across. I do not understand these.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
FIRST YOU MUST CHANGE THEE EQUATION TO THE STANDARD LINE FORMULA: Y=mX+b WHERE m+SLOPE & b=THE Y INTERCEPT.
3X-6Y=9 OR -6Y=-3X+9 OR Y=-3X/-6+9/-6 OR Y=X/2-1.5 (RED LINE)
X-2Y=3 OR -2Y=-X+3 OR Y=-X/-2+3/-2 OR Y=X/2-1.5 (GREEN LINE)
+graph%28+300%2C+200%2C+-6%2C+5%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+y+=+-x%2F2+-1.5%2C+y+=+-x%2F2-1.5%29+ (graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, of TWO functions y = -x/2 -1.5 and y = -x/2 -1.5).
NOTICE THESE 2 EQUATIONS ARE THE SAME LINE EQUATION.
THEREFORE THERE IS NO UNIQUE SOLUTION.
