Javier said, I have a number in mind. If I add 5 to it, then subtract 5 from it, the average of the results is the number I started with. Can you tell for sure what the number he has in mind? Why ?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let x be the number.
2x/2=x
x=x
While what he says is true it is meaningless also because we knew x=x before he started.
