I am really struggling with polynomials. I need to solve these using any method( please name the method used). If the polynomial cannot be factored, I need to label it "prime". Can someone show me the easiest method to solve this and explain the steps in a simplified way.

Use ^ (Shift 6) for exponents.

12x^2 + 28x - 24
--> 4(3x^2 + 7x - 6)
--> 4*(3x - 2)*(x + 3)
It's factored, but it's not an equation so there's nothing to solve.
Equations have equal signs.
---
12m^2 – mn – 20n^2
This will be (Am + Bn)*(Cm + Dn)
Factoring is trial and error.
Find the combination that gives -1mn.
