Question 1021194: Good morning
I am a 58 year old female who haven't been to school in 30 plus years. I've tried going back in the past & was intimidated because I didn't understand the new math. I know basic math but I guess it is what the world calls 4th grade level. I need help starting from the beginning so that I can understand what's in from of me & hopefully I can take the GED test & pass it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
New Math or Old Math, not much different for purposes of GED test in Mathematics. Check with your local adult school. The attendence office or counseling office will help you register for GED preparation course/courses. There, either in the office or in the class, you should be assessed and given suitable instruction. One option at the adult school is to try Pre-Algebra as a course, and then Algebra 1. The Algebra 1 course should take care of much of the knowledge and skill necessary to handle GED Mathematics questions.
