hi there,
Surface area = Pi x radius^2 + (Pi x diameter) x height.
Surface area = Pi x 7^2 + (Pi x 14)x 8
Surface area = 505.80 cm^2
The surface area of the can is found by
using the circumference of the can as
one side of the rectangle that is the
opened can. The other side is the height.
You then use Pi x r^2 for the end of the can.
