Question 1020387: Hello Tutors,
I need some assistance with these expressions. The value for n is 14 and m is 6. I would like someone who is able to explain how they solve these in laymen's terms if possible. Thank you.
These are the expressions:
a) (x + n)^2
b) (2x + m) (x^2 – nx + m).

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Your directions or instructions might be better stated as, "simplify each expression for n=14 and m=6.".

"In laymen's terms", just substitute for m and n in each expression and simplify.

Here is one of them.
