You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi there,
h = 6 + 4cos(15p)
The value of when p = 4
h = 6 + 4cos(15 x 4)
h = 6 + 4cos(60)
Cos60 = 0.5
h = 6 + 4 x 0.5
h = 8 units
The value of p when h = 9
6 + 4cos(15p) = 9
4cos(15p) = 9/6
cos(15p) = 9/(6 x 4)
cos(15p) = 9/24
cos(15p) = 0.375
(Using cos^-1 = 0.375)
15p = 67.98
p = 67.98/15
p = 4.53 (2 decimal places)
Hope this helps :-)
