In order to have an average of 90, your total points for the 4 tests must be 5 times 90, or 450 points. The reason you multiply by 5 is that the last test is worth double the first three, so it is the same as having 5 tests. You know the total points of the first three tests by simply adding them. Then subtract from 450 to know the score needed on the last one.
