You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I need help with graphing. I'm supposed to solve each system by graphing the problem is
2x - y= -5
-2x - y= -1
----------------
Graph the 2 lines. The solution of the system is the intersection.
---
They're straight lines, so you need 2 points for each.
2x - y= -5
At x = 0, y = 5 --> (0,5)
At y = 0, x = -5/2 --> (-2.5,0)
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
--------
Do the same for the other equation.

solve each system by graphing the problem is
2x - y= -5
-2x - y= -1
------
Graphing 2x - y = -5
----
solve for "y"::
y = 2x+5
---
Plot two points::
If x = 0, y = 5 ; If x = -1, y = 3
Plot (0,5) and (-1,3) and draw a line thru them.
-------------------------------
Graphing -2x - y = -1
Solve for "y"::
y = -2x+1
Plot two points:: (0,1) and (-1,3)
------
Note that (-1,3) satisfies both equations.
